Special packaging Panettone Baj in silk scarves, with handmade printed plant leaves and unique pieces.

Panettone for ceremonies with a wearable packaging silk scarf printed with the ecoprinting technique. Each piece is composed on the fabric by choosing dozens of different types of leaves. The colors and shapes are obtained with the ecoprinting technique which is different for each piece. They depend by the seasonality of the plant species and the latitude of the harvest. Many leaves are harvested by the Baj family in Gironico inside the Natural Park of Lura, others sent by correspondents of the family, from different places in Italy.

The scarf has a size of 80 x 80 cm and is finished with a modern edge.

Printed silk packaging with ecoprinting technique, while developing different designs and colors from time to time, is classified into 2 main groups: Spring version obtained by the use of copper cylinders, and the winter version obtained by the use of iron cylinders.

An idea of Giuseppe Baj

The technique of wrapping the Panettone inside the silk dates back to 800 and was one of the possibilities offered by the Confectioner’s shop Baj.

To the left a card advertising a 8 doors end 800, printed in chromolithography, in which Joseph Baj informs the public of the availability ‘silk’ bags for Panettone.
